Commercial Roofing Installation – Vertical & Flat Roof Areas

700m² installation of IKO Armourplan P single-ply membrane in Folkestone, Kent

Here you see a large-scale commercial roofing project spanning over 700 square metres, covering both vertical and flat roof areas. The client required a robust, long-lasting solution that combined durability with a refined, contemporary finish.

Vertical Roof Areas
For the vertical installation, we used IKO Armourplan P, a high-performance mechanically fixed PVC membrane, featuring standing seams at 400mm centres to deliver a clean, architectural look.

Beneath the surface, the system includes a vapour control layer, 120mm of rigid insulation for enhanced thermal performance, and a waterproofing layer with mechanically fixed laps for long-term reliability.

Flat Roof Areas
The flat roof sections were fitted with fully bonded IKO Armourplan PSG fleece-backed PVC membrane, chosen for its durability, strength, and dimensional stability.

Below the membrane, we installed a vapour control layer and a 190mm rigid insulation system, comprising two layers (100mm and 90mm), all mechanically fixed to ensure structural stability and consistent performance.
