Refurbishment of a 400m² asphalt roof using the Westwood Liquid Waterproofing system

We revitalised a heavily worn 400m² rooftop car park above The Pentagon Shopping Centre in Chatham, Kent. Originally covered with aged and failing asphalt, the surface was fully refurbished using the Westwood Liquid Waterproofing system — ideal for high-traffic, exposed environments.

The process included:

• Substrate preparation
• Application of a waterproofing base layer
• Self-levelling layer for a smooth, even finish
• Final wear coat for durability
• Reinstatement of parking bay line markings

This commercial refurbishment project demonstrates how liquid-applied systems can give tired surfaces a new lease of life, combining long-term protection with a refreshed, functional finish.
